Athlete’s foot is a fungal infection that starts in between your toes and can spread to other parts of your body including hands, nails and groin. It is contagious but can be prevented by:
- Keeping your feet dry especially in between toes.
- Changing socks regularly. If your feet get very sweaty, do change yours twice a day.
- Wearing light, ventilated shoes so your feet may breathe. Also alternate the shoes that you wear so that they may have the chance to dry.
- Protect your feet in public places. Don’t go barefooted in public areas. Choose to wear rubber slippers around public pools, showers and locker rooms as these areas harbor fungus.
- Apply Agnesia Antibacterial powder to your feet daily.
- Don’t share shoes. Remember that athlete’s foot is contagious!
